We are proud to announce that AccessAbility Training has officially been awarded Disability Confident Committed (Level 1) status.

Disability Confident Committed badge

This recognition is more than just a badge – it reflects our ongoing commitment to creating inclusive workplaces and ensuring that disabled people and those with long-term health conditions have fair opportunities to thrive.

What is Disability Confident?

The Disability Confident scheme, run by the UK Government, helps organisations recruit and retain disabled people and people with health conditions. It encourages employers to think differently about disability, challenge attitudes, and take positive action to improve workplace inclusion.

The scheme has three levels:

  • Level 1 – Committed

  • Level 2 – Employer

  • Level 3 – Leader

By becoming Disability Confident Committed, we have taken the first step on this journey and pledged to support disabled people in accessing, remaining in, and progressing within employment.

What this means for AccessAbility Training

As part of our commitment, we have agreed to:

  • Ensure our recruitment practices are inclusive and accessible.

  • Communicate and promote vacancies in ways that reach a wide audience.

  • Offer interviews to disabled people who meet the essential criteria.

  • Provide reasonable adjustments wherever needed, to remove barriers to work.

  • Support positive action for disabled people in the workplace.

This aligns closely with our mission – to help organisations become more neuroinclusive, accessible, and supportive workplaces where every employee can bring their authentic self to work.

Looking Ahead

Achieving Disability Confident Committed status is just the start of our journey. We are already working towards Level 2 (Disability Confident Employer) and will continue to develop our policies, training, and support to lead by example.

At AccessAbility Training, we believe that inclusion is not just a compliance requirement – it is a driver of innovation, creativity, and business success.
