We are excited to celebrate a major milestone for Universal Darts, who have officially achieved Disability Confident Employer (Level 2) status. This accomplishment demonstrates their dedication to creating a workplace where accessibility, inclusion, and equality are at the heart of everything they do.

Their journey has been supported by AccessAbility Training, where we work with organisations to embed inclusive practices that empower both employees and businesses to thrive.
Understanding the Disability Confident Scheme
The Disability Confident scheme, launched by the UK Government, helps employers to recruit, retain, and support disabled people and those with long-term health conditions.
It consists of three progressive levels:
Level 1 – Committed
Level 2 – Employer
Level 3 – Leader
By moving up to Level 2: Employer, Universal Darts has gone beyond initial commitment, putting in place real, practical measures that make a positive difference for their staff and potential recruits.
Why This Matters for Universal Darts
Earning Disability Confident Employer status shows that Universal Darts is:
Taking proactive steps to employ and support disabled people.
Ensuring reasonable adjustments are available to remove workplace barriers.
Focusing on staff development so every team member can progress.
Building a culture where inclusion is part of everyday practice.
This achievement highlights Universal Darts’ commitment to not just meeting requirements, but leading with values that foster fairness and opportunity.
How AccessAbility Training Supported the Journey
At AccessAbility Training, we were proud to guide Universal Darts on this path. Our role involved:
Reviewing recruitment and workplace policies with an inclusive perspective.
Clarifying employer responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010.
Providing tools and strategies to embed accessibility in daily practices.
Strengthening confidence to support neurodivergent and disabled employees effectively.
The result is not just an award, but sustainable changes that make Universal Darts a more inclusive employer for the long term.
Looking to the Future
Reaching Disability Confident Employer status is a significant step forward – but it’s not the final destination. Universal Darts is already showing leadership in their sector, and their continued focus on accessibility and equality will open more opportunities for disabled people to succeed.
We at AccessAbility Training are thrilled to have supported this achievement and look forward to seeing Universal Darts continue their progress on the journey to becoming a Disability Confident Leader.
